Asia, and especially Thailand, is a great place to source your high quality hand made eco friendly products. However the pitfalls are many,  language and cultural differences, government regulations, time difference, etc.

Haussmann, Inc., based in California, has  been doing business in Thailand for years with a Thai manufacturer located in San Kamphaeng (Chiang Mai) Thailand.  I have lived here permanently since 2002.  We have dedicated staff who are familiar with local regulations, quotas, export regulations, taxes, as well as the ability to deal with those tricky on the spot negotiations that occur from time to time that help smooth out problems and expedite the process.

We specialize in custom manufacturing of hand crafted eco friendly wood furniture and household decorations. We also work with custom hand craft manufacturers of stoneware, stainless steel, and slumped recycled glass mainly for the table top industry.

We have the capability to coordinate multiple manufacturers and suppliers for the production and assembly processes that we do not do ourselves in house. We own and maintain facilities for light manufacturing, finishing, packaging, labeling, and storage in house for products we source.

The local Thai registered Export company is not bound by the export minimums and pricing for most initial product runs purchased from another manufacturer.  We can often negotiate smaller amounts than the manufacturer's typical minimum. In this way our retail and catalog clients can buy smaller lots to test the market before a larger commitment. Coordinated with regular monthly container shipments to our California warehouse the clients can start with a less then container load (LCL) of items at a reasonable cost.

With the ability to finish and package we can maintain the quality and help protect any design and intellectual rights of our clients as the local Thai manufacturer may never see the finished product.
